Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and sole child daughter of Richard McCormick. Her father was a teacher as did her mother, who was a homemaker. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three elder brothers. From a young stage of life, McCormick was a singer and dance and would often perform puppet shows for the neighborhood children. At the age six, McCormick was crowned the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her and asked whether she was interested in a career in show business. McCormick had her first significant role when she got a part in the 1964 television commercial of Mattels latest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. The commercial was re-run in 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the main character in Wind It Up and It breaks, a production in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was selected from among 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance for the role of the oldest of three daughters towheaded in the upcoming TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with a blended family. The show lasted for five years. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008, McCormick told of how in the fifth season of the television show she almost lost virginity with her sister Barry Williams. The actress was just 16 years older and the actor 19, at that time. This timing wouldn't have been ideal for us, she told me.
