Maureen Denise McCormick is the younger daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5th 1956 at Woodland Hills California. Her father worked as an educator at school while her mother was mother at home. There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick is always a fan of singing, dancing and creating performances with puppets. When she was just six years old, old, she won an award in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency approached her and asked her whether she'd like to go into the show business. McCormick got her first big work in 1964, when she starred in a television commercial for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. McCormick also starred in a commercial in the year 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was chosen to play the leading character on the play Wind It up and It Breaks, a play in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked from a field of 1200 children who auditioned to be the youngest of three towheaded girls on the brand new TV comedy The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The series lasted 5 years. In her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season, she was close to losing her virginity to her onscreen brother and co-star Barry Williams. She was 16 years old at the time; he was 19. She told me that it could have been possible, but it was never the best moment to make the decision.
