Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter, and the sole son daughter of Richard McCormick. Her mother was at home and also mother to her children. Her older brothers are: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick started singing and performing from a young age. At the age 6, McCormick won at the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her and asked whether she was looking to pursue a career in showbusiness. McCormick was offered her first major task when she was cast as a television character in the 1964 commercial of Mattels latest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she was a guest on another company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was soon chosen to play The Brady Bunch La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp and ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned to play the eldest daughter of the three towheaded girls in The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed as well as a brand new family. The run of five years for The Brady Bunch was an enormous successful one. In her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice released in 2008, McCormick admitted that in the fifth season of the show, she almost lost her virginity due to her onscreen co-star and brother Barry Williams. The actress was only 16 at the time while he was. She said that it would be possible, however it was never the best moment to make the decision.
